REM is a collection of digital prints that act as an extension of DANI&TING’s multimedia installation ‘echo’ (2022) - one that is more permanent. Whilst ‘echo’ investigates an awake state of transience in consciousness through the implications of a nonplace, REM looks at the contrary. As the name suggests, it explores the contradictory states of an active mind and a sleeping body, a paradoxical state of being. REM is composed of 6 digital prints, each one offering a different perspective of the nonplace in question. REM was recently exhibited at (wander)scape 2023, at The Bohemians.
